Hazel June is here! This gorgeous little one was wonderful to photograph! Of course, I have a soft spot in my heart for this one because her mama and I are cousins. You’ll want to take a look back at Heather and Emery’s maternity session for a refresher in how cute they are!

Bryce | 6 Months | Homewood, AL Children’s PhotographyOctober 22nd, 2012Do you see that smile?! 6 month old Bryce is such a happy and curious boy. He was such a trooper while his brother ran laps around him, leaves fell all around him and while we made silly noises to get that lovely smile. For a reminder of newborn Bryce, here’s that original post from this spring. Keep your eyes open for B’s next session, as I’m sure he’ll be excited to show off his new toddling skills!

Anna | Homewood, AL Children’s PhotographySeptember 22nd, 2012When fall is around the corner, I’m always drawn back to the beautiful Cobb Lane. It’s classic and just screams cozy weather! I had a wonderful time running (or waddling) around with Anna, identifying possible helicopters in the air, kicking around leaves and blowing bubbles. That sweet yellow dress she’s wearing? I had a wonderful time running (or waddling) around with Anna, identifying possible helicopters in the air, kicking around leaves and blowing bubbles. That sweet yellow dress she’s wearing? It’s a tradition in her family for each girl to be photographed in it at 2 years old. She seemed to really love hopping around in her fancy couture!
Happy fall, everyone! I have a feeling it’s going to be a beautiful one!

Emmet | Homewood Newborn PhotographyJanuary 2nd, 2012I would describe this newborn session in one word: Colorful. I would describe this newborn session in one word: Colorful. Emmet’s mama has their home decorated with vibrant colors and
wanted the photos to reflect that. Newborn sessions are my favorite, this particular one is a special one.
You see, before Emmet was born, I nannied his brother, Liam. News of the pregnancy was met with much excitement, but also a little trepidation. When Liam was born, he came quite a bit early, so the fear was that Emmet would follow suit. After months of bed rest and a few hospital stays, Emmet was born the evening of November 2nd. He was perfect. Camera in hand, Liam & I went to meet Emmet an hour after he was born.
A few days later, it was time for some proper newborn photos to be taken. Little Em was the most content, soundly sleeping baby I’ve photographed. I think the squished lips are my favorite! These days, he LOVES being held, watching his brother run circles around him & of course the wonderfully embarrassing, baby talk!
This is such a special family to me & I’m happy to be a part of it.

Hannah | Birmingham Newborn PhotographyDecember 28th, 2011One of the things I love most about newborn sessions are that they are at the family home. I get a peek at the nursery details, get to know the family even more & of course get shots that would only happen in their home. Another favorite detail was that Hannah’s gender was a surprise! One of the things I love most about newborn sessions are that they are at the family home. I get a peek at the nursery details, get to know the family even more & of course get shots that would only happen in their home. Another favorite detail was that Hannah’s gender was a surprise! I love that! Jake was such a sweet older brother to newborn sister Hannah. Jake thought it quite appropriate (and I couldn’t agree more) that this session needed more red cowboy boots.
Congratulations to this sweet family! I know you’re here to see the pictures, so let’s get down to it!
