We started with a fun maternity session with Didi and Andrew, then a few weeks later Lily made her debut. At 6 months, we had a little fun in the studio. Lily was a real ham for her big 1 year session! Walking, smashing cake, looking for dogs…she was ready for anything!
Happy birthday Lily! It’s been a real honor to photograph your first year and I’m excited to keep watching you grow!

I think we walked the entire Samford University campus, following MK’s navigation as fast as her legs would allow. As I looked through her shoot, I was really struck by the black and white images for some reason. Some of the in between moments make for the best portraits.

Last summer, I spent an afternoon with the oldest Platt children: Caleb, Joshua, and Mara Ruth. What you couldn’t see behind the scenes was that their mama was pregnant with their brother, Isaiah. I spent an eventful morning with the children at home; we celebrated Isaiah with a few portraits, mama lead their daily devotion, the boys played with legos, and Mara Ruth was all about her bee antennas and iPad game.
I absolutely love in home shoots. It’s such a unique way to look back as a parent (or child), at what life looked like with little ones running around your home. Eating breakfast, playing dress up, brushing tiny teeth; all such sweet glimpses into what life really looks like. Alright, let’s peek inside what mornings looks like for the Platt 4!

Back in April, Victoria made her debut on the blog with her newborn session. Now, she’s back with her 6 month session and holy cow, it is cute!
