Wil is an outdoorsy type of guy.  I mean really outdoorsy. I had the pleasure of hearing tales of Wil going on alligator hunts and ultimately getting bitten by one. WHOA! This guy’s for real, Swamp People for real. So, it was only fitting that we ventured to the outskirts of Selma for some senior portraits. Dirt roads, the lake, his mama’s back porch, we went all over. What a wonderful guy Wil is and what a pleasure it was to spend the afternoon with him and his family.

Congratulations, Wil! Have a great senior year!

I traveled to Selma, AL, to photograph my beautiful cousin, Kelli for her senior year. As a kid, I used to go to Selma every other weekend to visit my Dad and some of my cousins. Obviously, Kelli & I are quite a few years apart, but much fun was had every summer during Cousin Camp. (I realize, no one really knows what cousin camp is. But, it seems pretty self explanatory. We had a camp every summer amongst the cousins!)

What an honor it is to photograph these special occasions for my family, not only in Kelli’s life, but Kristian’s, Erin’s, Bucky‘s, Brittany‘s, Arsella‘s and Heather’s (I didn’t have a blog when I photographed Heather’s wedding.).

Congratulations, Kelli! I’m so proud and excited for you!

The Hosmer Family | Birmingham Family Photography

I’m loving this Fall weather! It’s actually not Fall weather, but it’s perfect for all these outdoor family sessions. I’m loving this Fall weather! It’s actually not Fall weather, but it’s perfect for all these outdoor family sessions. I spent a lovely Sunday afternoon with the Hosmer’s capturing their sweet boys in action! Joseph had just turned the big 1, so celebrating was in order. Of course, no 1 year portrait would be complete without a sock monkey hat…only Joseph had other plans.

What a sweet session this was! Thank you Hosmer family for the honor of documenting this important stage!

Post Edit: It’s cold today! Obviously, I wrote this prior to the temperature drop. Gorgeous weather either way.

This sweet family should be quite familiar to you if you’ve been around here for awhile. Ava made her debut here and then charmed us all last year, here. Of course, she did not disappoint this year! What a special family this is to me. Ava’s mama and I go way back. Grammar school way back!

It is such an honor being able to photograph this family and document Ava’s growth every year. Thank you guys!

What a difference a year makes! Campbell turned the big 3 in September and it seems like just yesterday we were shooting his Christmas 2 year pictures. Be sure to check out that shoot here. We had such a wonderful time with the park all to ourselves one Saturday morning. Lots of animal noises were made along with lots of birthday party discussions. The Ramirez’s are such a sweet, down-to-earth family that I look forward to seeing every year!

Without further adieu, it’s time to soak in the sweetest little Campbell!
