I met Noelle and her sweet parents on a beautiful Sunday afternoon and knew right away this was a girl after my own heart. That outfit! Those baby Uggs! Sometimes to get her amped up for the next couple of photos, her Dad would say, “Noelle get excited!”. And boy would she. The top right photo is what “excited” looks like.
I had a wonderful time spending the afternoon with Noelle and I think/hope she’d say the same thing!

The lovely Amelia was such a joy to photograph, her parents watching on with those sleepy & loving eyes that only a new parent could have.
With Thanksgiving being just a day away and as I prepared this post, I was hit with an immense amount of thankfulness for being able to photograph exactly what I love. Beautiful, soft, smell good, squishy newborn babies. I’m sure we’ve all had that job where it feels like you’ll never be able to do what you truly want to do. I certainly can appreciate that feeling. Oh, how thankful I am that I finally have the privilege of loving what I do and who I work with. Wonderful clients & amazing children make it all the more sweet.
Amelia will be a frequent subject within the next year. So, keep your eyes peeled for this beautiful little bit and that amazing hair!

When I received an email from Mary about photographing her family, she mentioned she had 7 year old twin boys. I thought, I’m gonna have to practice my really silly noises and jokes to get the boys comfortable. As you’ll see below, it didn’t take much or long before they were more than at home in front of the camera. (I just wonder what they were whispering to one another!)
The Griner family made the trip over from Athens, GA for the day. What an absolute honor that is! I also loved Mary’s idea to go for the neutral look along with the natural background of the field. Just beautiful!

Do you ever see a family walk down the street and think, “They look like they belong in a Ralph Lauren catalog?” Or think, “How adorable and perfect is that family?” The Moore’s are clearly that family! I just love these 4 (soon to be 5) so much.
This was my first shoot with Collins, way back in ’09. Then I photographed Katie while she was pregnant with Elizabeth Parker here. And of course, Elizabeth’s newborn session here. I always say that Collins & Elizabeth should be photographed daily, they’re so beautiful. Naturally, I cannot wait to meet and photograph the new Moore baby. That’ll be awhile down the road, though!

What a wonderful time I had with Courtney & Brandon! This is such a joyful time in their life, so the bright & fun carnival was the perfect spot to celebrate waiting on baby girl Riley.
Courtney is a student at the University of Montevallo with my husband. I was thrilled to meet Courtney and discuss our plans for documenting Riley’s first year. Keep an eye out for their Christmas baby!
For now, let’s marvel at how adorable these 2 are! Plus, that funnel cake was amazingly delicious.

Little Luke. That’s what I want to call him whenever I see these images. He was 6 pounds, 12 ounces the night he was born and he certainly felt that small when I held him and placed him in each position for our first shoot together. What a sweet boy with an even sweeter head full of hair! Luke is an extra special newborn, as his mama is my husband’s step sister. We’re all family now!
I was at the hospital when Luke was born and there is a birth story to go along with his newborns. We’re doing things a little opposite this time around! Stay tuned for the birth story and watch Luke grow here on the blog for his 1st year.
