When preparing for this shoot, I knew that I had to document Courtney’s growth with the reuse of the swing. There’s no doubt that this sweet sleepy baby has grown to a wonderfully happy toddler! You can revisit that 3 month session here. Though she was adorable in her dresses, Courtney’s favorite part was the bubble bath in the backyard. Drying her off was pretty dramatic!
Though we live a state away, we consider Courtney and her family part of ours! Enjoy this sweet, summer session!

The last time we checked in with the Moore family, they were a foursome. Katie was pregnant with Harrison and I couldn’t wait to meet and photograph him. Well, he’s here and is beautiful. He looks just like his brother, who looks just like his Daddy! Harrison was such a content little fellow, sleeping away as his brother and sister petted, kissed, cried, laughed, and fought for the spotlight around him.
What a special family these 5 are to our growing one. To be able to photograph and be great friends is an honor.

While I recover from the 4th of July and all it’s food and swimming, I thought I’d share this sweet newborn session. Benjamin is his father’s son, he will be TALL! He was such a lovely little fella to photograph and his family was no exception. One of my favorite aspects was to bring his mother and father’s heritage into one photograph. So, we incorporated the US and German flag for one shot. I really enjoy bringing in personal touches for each newborn session so it feels like home for each family.

Before diving too deeply into this session, let’s take a walk down memory lane, shall we? I’ve had the absolute pleasure of documenting Emma’s first year and it has been wonderful watching her grow. We actually started shooting prior to her birth with her mama’s maternity session. Shortly thereafter, Emma was born and it was time for her newborn session. Months went by quickly & we were gearing up for her 6 month session and 9 month session.
Now, we’ve made it to the big 1 year session! We shot at Hollie’s parents home, the home Hollie grew up in and that I had even played at a time or two as a little girl. Miss Emma was wonderful and let me tell you, when she tasted that cake she was in heaven! She LOVED it & we loved watching her! Happy birthday to such a sweet little girl and thank to you her wonderful family for the honor of documenting this important year in her life!
